Montrose, Colorado is a truly wonderful community.  Located in beautiful southwestern Colorado, at the northwest edge of the spectacular San Juan mountains.  Montrose is nestled in the Uncompahgre River valley near the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.

The community

The population within the city limits is approximately 13,000 with about another 5-6,000 residents within the developments surrounding the town.

Climate

Montrose is blessed with a mild climate by Colorado standards.  Summers are pleasant with warm days and cool nights.  Winters are relatively mild with some snow storms but snow rarely lasts on the ground more than a few days.  Golf courses are available 10 to 11 months out of the year.
